Is Dibbly Pro worth it?
If you want to make the most of the AI tools, then the Pro version is absolutely worth it. Without Pro, you don’t get access to the Prompt Library or many templates that make Dibbly Create so fantastic.
Of course, there are plenty of free book outline templates and writing prompt generators out there, so if you decide not to go with the paid version, you may be able to piece together the tools from other sources.

Cons of Dibbly
No company is perfect, so let’s look at some of the cons of the Dibbly service.
Quality of ghostwriters
As you will see in the reviews section below, there are some people who have not been pleased with their ghostwriter. This could be because the writer wasn’t skilled enough or couldn’t emulate their voice and style.
Of course, it could also be the fault of the reviewer, if they weren’t clear in their communication with their ghostwriter.
Whatever the case, when working with the company just know that the quality of all the writers might not be the same across the board.
Inauthenticity
No one can tell your story quite like yourself. Whether it’s a ghostwriter or an AI tool, you won’t get the same personal touch as you would by writing your own content. Perhaps you would rather have a writing coach to brush up on your own writing skills.
No marketing support
While this company is great for creating your content, once you have your manuscript and book cover design, that’s it! If you need help with book marketing or self-publishing, you’ll have to look elsewhere.
Free option is limited
If you use the free version of Create, you are really missing out on the prompts, templates, and AI writing capabilities that make it so wonderful for writers. There are plenty of other free services out there that offer more options for you if you don’t want a paid service.
Other reviews of Dibbly/The Urban Writers
Overall, it seems like people have had a positive experience working with Dibbly and their original company The Urban Writers.
It sounds like there is great communication with the Dibbly team, helpful advice, and an overall positive view of the ghostwriters.
That being said, not all reviews were positive. As mentioned above, the quality of the ghostwriters seems to be hit or miss, so you have to be careful and vet potential freelancers on your own. Otherwise, it may take you way more time than just writing a book yourself!
Alternatives to Dibbly
While Dibbly offers a fairly comprehensive platform for content creation and collaboration with freelancers, there are plenty of alternative companies you can look at.
What makes this company unique is its blend of both freelance and AI services, which is hard to find elsewhere.
If you’re looking for freelance writers, then platforms like Upwork, Fivver, Guru, or Textbroker, but the quality of writers can vary greatly, so you will have to do a lot of research and vetting before picking a ghostwriter.
In terms of AI writing tools, you can look at using ChatGPT, Reword, or Quillbot. The first needs no introduction, but the latter two are AI tools specifically geared towards writers.
Reword has some fun features like a common questions sidebar to help you with SEO-optimized content, and the quick ability to create charts and tables. It also gives you topic cluster ideas, so this would be more geared towards blogging content marketers.
Quillbot offers several extras in its free package, such as a summarizing tool, plagiarism checker, and citation generator. It does not have the wealth of writing prompt options that Create Pro offers, however.

I would give Dibbly a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Dibbly offers some truly fabulous services for aspiring authors. If you’re looking for a ghostwriter, it offers some of the best quality for your dollar. And, if you’re hoping for AI assistance with your writing, Create has some high quality tools for you to use.
That being said, the company doesn’t help you with the whole process from idea to publishing. If you are looking for help with book promotion, social media services for authors, or how to perfect your book launch, Dibbly won’t provide the services you need.
It’s also not the best for you if you don’t have the time or patience to communicate and work with your ghostwriter.
