  • Choose something balanced and practical. Extreme nutrition advice can sound exciting when you read it, but you want something that will fit into your real life. Most folks will benefit from books that preach moderation rather than those that use “always” and “never” rules. 
  • Check the author’s credentials. While doctors and registered dietitians are natural choices to write nutrition books, some authors don’t have either of those certifications. Does that mean their books are bogus? Not necessarily, but it’s your job to do research into their credentials and decide if you want to take nutrition advice from them. 

What is the most reliable nutrition information?
