What inspired you to write this book specifically for women?
I wrote Woman’s Guide to Money Freedom because I know how lonely and overwhelming it feels to start over. I want other women to know: you do not have to wait for someone else to save you. You are perfectly capable of building lasting wealth and peace of mind, one step at a time.
If I can go from post-divorce bankruptcy and broken dreams to financial freedom, so can you. Let my mistakes and my victories light the path for your own journey to saving, investing, and true security. Your future is in your hands—and it can be brighter than any fairy tale you’ve ever imagined.
Every woman who’s ever felt overwhelmed, underestimated, or underserved by her finances—and is ready to leap into new habits, fresh beliefs, and true wealth—needs this book.
Why was now the right time for this message?
It wasn’t a conscious decision on my part to write this book. The idea actually came to me while I was sitting in a waiting room at the garage while my car was being worked on. I had brought pen and paper, expecting to entertain myself for 6 hours, and instead, this book was born.
What will women struggling with finances learn from Woman’s Guide to Money Freedom?
This is a no-nonsense guide for women to break away from overwhelm and own their life through smart financial habits and wealth-building tips.
Here are some of the lessons I share:
1. Take Control of Your Finances with Practical Steps
Woman’s Guide to Money Freedom emphasizes the importance of women taking charge of their financial lives through simple, actionable strategies. Whether you are dealing with debt, learning to invest, or just starting to budget, I provide a step-by-step approach to get organized and reduce financial stress. The guidance is designed to be approachable, helping women gain confidence and independence in managing their money.
2. Break Bad Money Habits and Build Positive Mindsets
I address the psychological side of money, encouraging women to challenge negative self-talk and societal norms that may hinder financial growth. The book offers tools to form healthy money habits, live within your means, and set achievable financial goals. This mindset shift is crucial for sustaining long-term wealth and financial security.
3. Invest in Your Future for Lasting Wealth
Beyond just saving, the guide stresses the importance of investing as a means to build real, lasting wealth. By demystifying investing for beginners, I provide foundational knowledge and encourage women to start early. The book highlights that financial freedom is attainable for women of any age and background, and that investing is a key part of securing that future.
What was the creative process like for this book?
The creative process behind this book was anything but ordinary. The universe delivered most of the first draft to me while I sat in a garage waiting room—ideas seemed to download almost effortlessly in that unexpected setting. Yet, once I left, the manuscript spent years tucked away in a drawer. Every so often, I’d take it out, read through it, maybe add a chapter or two, and then question whether the world really needed my book.
Each time, uncertainty crept in, and back in the drawer it went.
It wasn’t until the Covid-19 pandemic hit in 2020 that everything changed. With the sudden pause in daily life, I finally had the chance to relax, reflect, and realize that my book offered something entirely unique. I recognized that withholding it would be a disservice to myself—and to others who might benefit from it.
That’s when I discovered selfpublishing.com, which helped fill in the knowledge gaps and gave me the structure and confidence I needed to finish and publish my book.
You mentioned that self-doubt was a struggle in the process. On the flip side, what was a positive aspect?
My favorite part of the process was drafting the initial manuscript and then collaborating with an editor to refine and strengthen the concept. There’s something powerful about having a fresh set of eyes—someone who can say, “This is strong, but moving this idea earlier in the book, or combining similar concepts from different chapters, might make it even better.” That feedback helped me focus the book and make it more useful for readers.
What’s next for you, your book, and your business?
My book is designed as an approachable, entry-level guide to help women begin their journey toward financial freedom. It breaks down essential financial concepts into simple, actionable steps that build confidence and empower readers to take control of their money. This foundation serves as a springboard, preparing women to advance to more sophisticated strategies when they feel ready.
Beyond the book, my business offers a seamless pathway to deeper support through an advanced program. After mastering the basics, readers can join this program to access personalized guidance, mentorship, and a supportive community, helping them build lasting financial independence. Together, these resources create a clear, supportive progression from initial learning to financial mastery, tailored specifically for women at every stage.
