selfpublishing.com is a back-to-back-to-back INC 5000 company & we’re looking for a Executive Assistant & Event Planner to join our team. Our mission is to TRANSFORM THE LIVES of authors by helping them write and publish books, grow their businesses, and launch their author careers.

This role combines Executive Assistance and Event Planning to keep the business running efficiently while creating unforgettable experiences that build our culture and reputation—helping make selfpublishing.com one of the best places to work in the country.

This is a full-time, in-person role based in Austin, TX. If you’re a natural organizer, love helping others, and want to make a big impact in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, this might be the perfect fit.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your job is to streamline Chandler’s personal and professional life so he can focus on high-leverage work and company growth.

Executive Assistant:

  • Manage Chandler’s calendar, email, meetings, and travel

  • Prioritize communications and requests to help Chandler stay focused on high-impact tasks

  • Handle personal and professional errands and tasks to protect his time

  • Oversee basic home management tasks at Chandler’s residence

  • Manage office operations, supplies, and resources

  • Optimize travel, event, and office budgets to reduce overhead without sacrificing quality

  • Implement process improvements that increase team productivity

  • Support PR and recognition efforts to grow Chandler’s and the company’s brand in Austin (awards, “best places to work” lists, etc.)

Event Planner:
You’ll bring our team together through unforgettable events and help build our local presence as one of Austin’s fastest-growing companies.

  • Plan and manage company events, retreats, and off-sites

  • Lead planning for all Texas-based events (team gatherings, conferences, training days, recruiting & service events)

  • Organize events hosted at Chandler’s home

  • Help build and promote our employer brand in the Austin area through high-impact events and experiences

    Qualifications

    Have you planned successful events and supported an executive before? Have people called you “the most organized person they know”? That’s what we’re looking for.

    Required:

    • Past experience as an executive assistant, administrative support, or office manager

    • Experience planning and executing professional events

    • Comfortable managing multiple calendars, projects, and logistics

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused

    • Based in Austin, TX (this is an in-person role)

    The Pay

    💸 Salary range: $47,000–$70,000/year depending on experience
