selfpublishing.com is a back-to-back-to-back INC 5000 company & adding to our inside sales team. Our mission is to TRANSFORM THE LIVES of authors through helping write & publish their books, build their businesses, and launch their author careers!
What You’ll Be Doing
We have an incredible marketing department and SDR team that sets hour-long strategy sessions for our inside sales team. Your job is to maximize the conversion!
This is a base + commission position, where the commissions are uncapped. On target earnings are $150,000 to $400,000+ per year, and commission is uncapped.
This is an in-person position with an expectation of 45 hours a week of availability. You have the ability to open up your calendar further if you would like on a given week to increase your income opportunity. These hours can be quite flexible, because we have aspiring authors all around the world that book strategy sessions with us.
You will also close in person at our live events from time to time.
If you love helping people say yes to becoming an author, you will fit right in.
Your primary KPI’s for this position are close rate, average order value, and total monthly revenue.
DISQUALIFIERS:
Please DO NOT apply to this position if you:
- Have less than 2 years of sales experience
- Have been in sales for a long time and are looking for a job where you can “coast to the finish line”
- Don’t have the drive and ability to self motivate
- Have no interest in books

Qualifications
At selfpublishing.com, we value work ethic, coachability, and your past sales results more than your degree (or lack thereof), GPA, etc.
Have you delivered results in a similar role in the past? If so, that’s what we’re looking for.
Required:
- At least 3 years of VERY high performance as a sales rep
- Minimum of $250,000 in sales of any product / service in the past
- CRM & sales process experience.
- Willingness to travel and speak at events
Preferred:
- At least 5 years of high performance sales experience (selling $250k+ per year)
- Minimum of $1M in lifetime sales of any product / service
- Experience with low ticket, high volume sales (ie. $5k max sales price, 1-2 call close) rather than longer cycle B2B/enterprise sales
The Pay
- Base + Commission: Sliding scale based on production.
- On target earnings: $150,000 to $400,000+ per year, uncapped.
